The Day I Got My Copy of The Fault in Our Stars
Yesterday around 12 in the afternoon, my father knocked my room and said, “Hey, you got a package. I think it’s from Amazon.”
I was speechless, I got up from my seat hurriedly, opened the door and took the package.
The package was a brown box with Amazon logo printed on it. Well, it’s not my first time buying books from Amazon.
My hands were shaky. If you were there with me, you could tell that I was shocked, happy, excited, and nervous.
I knew that everything could go wrong, like there’s no John’s scribble, only a blank page or maybe like the book arrived in a bad condition.
My hands were still shaking, I tore the duct tape wildly like an old hyena and it’s prey. (because my hands are shaking so bad)
and then I realized that the book is there, lying inside the box, wrapped with plastic. From that moment, I knew that my precious book arrive in a very good codition
I took the book out of the box and I tried to cut the plastic with my nail but it didn’t work so I took a scissor and clumsily cut the plastic.
I was so nervous. I opened the book and then I found John Green’s signature
I was like, “OH MY GOD! I’m gonna do the happy dance right now”
Next thing I know, I was dancing awkwardly in my room. alone.
When my sister got home, I told her “Look what I got! It’s my copy of TFiOS and it’s signed! in blue!”
I showed it to her and she was like, “Oh, it’s only like that”
and I said this to her, “I can’t go to USA or go to tour de nerdfighting or even VidCon so this is more than enough for me. He [John Green] has gone through a lot of trouble to sign 150.000 copies of his book, so I appreciate this more”.
